Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant, who is recuperating from an accident, shared a video on Friday where he is seen walking without crutches for the first time in a while.
The video captioned, “Happy NO MORE CRUTCHES Day!” shows Pant first walking a few steps with a crutch before throwing it away and then walking without it.
Pant’s teammate Hardik Pandya reacted with the fire emoji while Suryakumar Yadav commented, “Verified
Spidey is back. More power to you.”
Ahead of the new year, Pant suffered a horrific accident after his car collided with a road divider on the Delhi-Dehradun highway in the wee hours of December 30.
The star India wicket-keeper batter was lucky to survive serious injuries due to his alertness, jumping off his Mercedes in the nick of time as the car went up in flames after hitting the divider.
A few weeks ago, Pant had paid a visit to the Delhi Capitals squad in Bengaluru ahead of their Indian Premier League match against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
When asked about his recovery, Pant had said, “I am recovering very well and I’m getting better with each passing day. I came to visit the National Cricket Academy and the Delhi Capitals happened to be there. So I met the team.”
He had further added, “I just saw how the team’s practice is carrying on. I really love to be around the boys and I am missing it.” The wicketkeeper-batter also wished the team ahead of its next game. “My heart and soul are always with the Delhi Capitals. I would like to wish them all the best for their next match.”
