The topic of if this is Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s last stint in the Indian Premier League (IPL) has been on everyone’s minds and lips even before this edition started. The man himself has been rather coy about what his future holds, navigating every question that relates to his retirement with his trademark swagger.
On Wednesday during the toss between Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants, commentator Danny Morrison asked how Dhoni is “enjoying his swansong tour” to which the CSK skipper had a cool and composed answer.
“This wonderful swansong tour, your last, how are you enjoying it?,” Morrison asked to which Dhoni said, “Well, you have decided it’s my last.” That elicited a huge roar from the Lucknow crowd, majority of whom where garbed in Chennai’s iconic yellow colours.

In the match, Dhoni won the toss and elected to bowl first in their IPL match against Lucknow Super Giants in Lucknow’s Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium on Wednesday.
LSG all-rounder Krunal Padya is leading the side as regular captain KL Rahul is nursing a serious thigh injury.
CSK have brought in pace bowler Deepak Chahar in place Akash Singh, while LSG have included Manan Vohra and Karan Sharma in the playing XI.
